A Great Review by Kitty from Guilty Pleasures Book Reviews. Huzzah!
A Four Star Review for A New Resolution!
Totally shocked with the beginning of this book, as I read on, I found myself looking forward to where it was taking me.
Three characters … three totally different people. All brought together through chance meetings. Lore, quiet and reserved. Kieran, the outspoken artist. Nolan, the straight-laced attorney. Together they form a triangle that is eventually filled with love.
Kieran and Nolan were wonderful together. They knew each others strengths and weaknesses. Kieran brought Nolan through his last divorce and always knew when the bitch walked back into his life. Being bi-sexual but in a committed relationship with each other, Nolan wants Lore. When he describes her to Kieran, he realizes that she is the woman that Kieran has been lusting after in his yoga class. Now, with both of them set on luring Lore into their relationship, the fun begins. But, unfortunately, Lore doesn’t know if she could let go of the past and set herself free.
Opening up to the two men about her father, finally tackling both of her parents life and a brush with death makes Lore realize that Nolan and Kieran are all that she needs in her life and and screw society and what they may think of her. To hell with what New Year meant to her in the past, it’s time for a new beginning with two men who are the world to her.
I was very surprised with the twists and turns throughout the book. The back-stories of each of the characters fit in exactly as they should have. As we learned all about Nolan’s past and his need to feel love, Kieran’s betrayal by someone he trusted and Lore’s upbringing, you can’t help but fall in love with each of them and be totally happy when it all finally comes together. A touch of mystery mingled with a whole lot of sex makes “A New Resolution” a wonderful read. Ceri Grenelle knows how to write a story that has you turning the pages waiting to see just what she has in store for you next.
I'm a geek with a sometimes wacked out imagination.
